Our Prices

Many advertisements state a fee that does not represent the total price you will pay for the legal services involved in the conveyancing of your property. If you look at these advertisements carefully, you will see that they advertise only their fee inclusive or not inclusive of the GST. In fine print you will often see the words “plus disbursements” or “disbursements extra”. These amounts will be added to your final bill and you have no way of knowing how much you will pay. That is why they are not offering you a total price and it is not comparable to our fixed price.

The price we quote you is our total fee inclusive of all charges. It is the total fee you will pay unless you ask us to carry out additional work or provide additional services on your behalf. These services are set out for you at the time of registration. When you sign up with Ozpropertylaw.com®, you know the total price you have to pay for the legal services involved in your property sale or purchase. Our promise is that you will not receive any nasty surprises at the end of the transaction.

Buying at auction

Auctions can be both exciting and intimidating events to attend, particularly if you have your heart set on being the successful bidder. At Ozpropertylaw.com® we can help you prepare for the auction of the property you want by reviewing the Contract for you prior to the auction.

If you can let us have the Contract at least 48 hours prior to the auction day, we will review the Contract and let you have our written legal advice. Our usual charge for this service is $220.00 plus GST, depending upon the complexity of the contract. We ask clients wishing to use this service to register on our website as if they are making the purchase. We then review the Contract, which you or the agent has forwarded to us. If you are successful at auction, we wrap our charge for reviewing the Contract into our conveyancing costs, which means it will cost you no more than our regular conveyancing cost for the purchase. If you are unsuccessful at auction, we would then charge only for the cost of reviewing the contract plus an administration fee.

As our website requires you to pay $350 as a retainer for our services on registration, we will refund to you the unused portion if you do not buy the property at auction.
